Bimini is a young woman currently undertaking her undergraduate degree in psychology at Leeds Beckett University. Originally from Cornwall she is the founder of Street Cramps – the social enterprise committed to tackling period poverty that provides essential hygiene packs to women experiencing homelessness and insecure accommodation.
Bimini has been recognised for her work with a Point of Light award from the Prime Minister as well as a seat on the government’s period poverty task force, and has raised awareness for her cause through giving a TEDx Talk and appearing on various television segments.
As a young person with a passion for tackling injustice, and a particular interest in women’s issues and fundraising, Bimini brings an incredibly valuable perspective to Harbour Housing’s board of trustees.
Bimini hopes to push for further youth involvement within communities and is using her position on the board to continue advocating for this.
